Peran Strategis Bystander Intervention dan Media Digital dalam Mencegah Kekerasan Seksual

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran strategis bystander intervention dan pemanfaatan media digital dalam pencegahan kekerasan seksual. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus menurut Robert E. Stake, penelitian ini melibatkan lima partisipan perempuan yang memiliki pengalaman sebagai responsive bystander. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tidak semua partisipan mengikuti seluruh tahapan Bystander Intervention Process (Latane & Darley, 1968), mereka tetap menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif dalam mencegah atau merespons kekerasan seksual melalui strategi intervensi seperti direct, distract, dan delegate. Faktor kedekatan emosional, pengalaman pribadi, serta risiko yang dihadapi memengaruhi bentuk intervensi yang dilakukan. Hambatan seperti ambiguitas situasi, trauma masa lalu, hingga norma sosial menjadi tantangan signifikan bagi para bystander. Di sisi lain, media sosial diakui sebagai alat strategis dalam membentuk dukungan kolektif digital, menyuarakan pengalaman korban, serta menyediakan bukti forensik yang valid. Pola micromobilization dalam gerakan digital juga memperkuat kesadaran publik terhadap isu kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peran bystander dan media digital saling melengkapi dalam menciptakan ruang aman dan perubahan sosial yang lebih progresif.
